The novel and exciting research of E-selectin inhibition for deep venous thrombosis

The selectins are so important as central regulators to venous thrombus formation that new discoveries in their inhibition may have significant implications in clinical treatment and applications. A continuation of the previous work from the University of Michigan on E-selectin inhibition has now extended in the recent publication to determine if synergy exist between E-selectin inhibition and low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH) on deep venous thrombosis (DVT) resolution and vein wall fibrosis and inflammation.
